In a shocking incident from Maharashtra, the farmhouse of former Bollywood actress Sangeeta Bijlani in Maval, Pune district, was reportedly broken into and ransacked. According to reports, the theft took place at her private residence in the Pawna region near Lonavala, where unknown miscreants not only stole valuables but also vandalised the property.

The Lonavala Rural Police have registered a case after Bijlani filed a complaint. The break-in was discovered when the farmhouse was found with several items missing and parts of the property damaged. Neither the actress nor her household staff were present at the time of the incident.

Initial findings indicate that the thieves may have entered the farmhouse when it was completely unoccupied. The culprits allegedly caused significant damage before fleeing with stolen items. Authorities are currently reviewing the situation and continuing investigations.

Sangeeta Bijlani’s Bollywood Career

Sangeeta Bijlani, now 65, started her career in modelling at just 16. She won the Miss India Universe title in 1980, representing India at the Miss Universe pageant in Seoul. Her costume, designed by her mother Poonam Bijlani, earned the Best National Costume award.

She made her film debut with Qatil (1988) alongside Aditya Pancholi and went on to appear in notable movies like Tridev, Jurm, Lakshman Rekha, and Yodha. She also starred in a Hindi-Kannada bilingual film with Vishnu Vardhan and collaborated with major directors including Mahesh Bhatt and J.P. Dutta.

Though she stepped away from films after her role in the 1996 action thriller Nirbhay, Bijlani continues to stay connected with fans through social media. Recently, she celebrated her 65th birthday, an event attended by superstar Salman Khan, drawing attention online.
