Sadanira: A Cinematic Journey Where India’s Rivers Speak Through Myth, Music And Memory
Sadanira, a newly launched documentary series, blends poetic imagination, sonic art, and cinematic finesse to revive India’s river heritage in a never-before-seen format.

What happens when rivers are seen not just as flowing waters, but as storytellers of civilization? Sadanira, a newly launched documentary series, brings this vision to life blending poetic imagination, sonic art, and cinematic finesse to revive India’s river heritage in a never-before-seen format.
The series was officially inaugurated by Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav at Bharat Bhavan, Bhopal, during the ‘Sadanira Samagam’ a cultural program under the Ganga Jal Samvardhan Abhiyan, organized by the state government. His unveiling of the series' poster marked a symbolic call to revive the river consciousness of India through art and storytelling.
The series is conceptualized and directed by Devrishi, formerly known in the film industry as Rishikesh Pandey, who has now emerged as a spiritual composer and philosopher. Secretary of Veer Bharat Nyas, Shri Ram Tiwari, was present during the premiere event, underscoring the initiative’s broader resonance across disciplines.
The series is jointly created by Sanatan Wisdom and Veer Bharat Nyas, with research contributions by Sadhana Pandey and Shri Ram Tiwari, and scripting led by Devrishi himself. Sadanira's first episode dives into the very origins of water, drawing parallels between Vedic metaphysics and cosmic science a narrative technique Devrishi calls “Mytho-Science”.
Its title track, “Sadanira”, composed by Devrishi and co-written with IAS officer P Narahari, is brought to life by Bollywood singer Shaan, and is now available on Devrishi’s official YouTube channel. The visuals, rich in symbolic imagery and AI-augmented landscapes, enhance the meditative and mythic feel of the project.
Upcoming episodes will feature India’s most iconic rivers including Ganga, Yamuna, Narmada, Saraswati, Kaveri, Godavari, and Kshipra, which have already been filmed. Devrishi has also hinted at the release of new musical tracks “Paani Paani” and “Paani Varse”, expanding the sonic dimension of this cinematic offering.
More than a documentary, Sadanira is an artistic movement a soul-stirring dialogue between India’s rivers and its collective memory. New episodes drop every week on the YouTube channels of Sanatan Wisdom and Veer Bharat Nyas.
