Raju Srivastava is 'Out Of Danger', Says Fellow Comedian Sunil Pal

Comedian Sunil Pal has given an update on Raju Srivastava's health through social media and has announced that the stand-up comedian, "is doing fine and out of danger". 

New Delhi: Standup comedian Raju Srivastava suffered a heart attack while he was working out at a gym on Wednesday and was admitted to AIIMS, New Delhi. The 58-year-old actor was working out at the South Delhi gym when he complained of feeling uneasy. That was when he was moved to the hospital. 

Fellow comedian Sunil Pal has now given update on his health through social media and has announced that Raju Srivastava, "is doing fine and out of danger". 
 
Pal, who has appeared with Srivastava on the comedy show, 'The Great Indian Laughter Challenge', has shared a video on Instagram with the caption: "Get well soon Raju bhai ji."  

He said: "It is true that comedy king Raju Srivastava suffered a heart attack and he was admitted to AIIMS. With God's grace and your best wishes he is doing fine and out of danger." 

Raju Srivastava was working out on a treadmill when he fell down at Cult gym in South Delhi area. He has been in the capital since August 1. He had gone from Mumbai to Udaipur on July 29. After performing there on July 30, he returned to Delhi to meet his two brothers and friends. 

On the work front, Raju Srivastav has carved a niche for himself in the world of stand-up comedy with his well-timed jokes and comic takes on some very relevant situations in life. He rose to fame with the first of its kind stand-up comedy talent hunt show 'The Great Indian Laughter Challenge', with its first season premiering in the year 2005. It had Shekhar Suman and Navjot Singh Sidhu as its judges. While comedian Sunil Pal bagged the title of the winner, Raju Srivastav ended up being the second runner-up.  

Raju Srivastav has also had cameos in a few Bollywood films including Kareena Kapoor, Hrithik Roshan, and Abhishek Bachchan starrer 'Main Prem Ki Deewani Hoon'.  

Raju Srivastav was recently seen on India's Laughter Champion, aired on Sony entertainment television.
