New Delhi: The much-awaited 'Panchayat Season 2' has returned two days ahead of its designated release date on Amazon Prime. 'Panchayat 2' was earlier supposed to release on 20th May. A social comedy drama set in the village of Phulera, 'Panchayat' stars TVF icon Jitendra Kumar in the lead role.
This move by streaming giant Amazon Prime has taken many by surprise. Amazon took to its official Twitter handle to announce the release of the second season on Wednesday evening, May 18.
'Panchayat' premiered with its first season on Amazon in 2020. Although the initial audience response was slow, Panchayat did catch up and gathered a loyal fan following on the streaming service. Poeple appreciated the slow, village tone and a simple storyline with great performances by actors.
Earlier, it was being reported that the second season of 'Panchayat 'had leaked on infamous piracy sites like Worldfree4u, Tamilrockers , India Today reported. It was also suggested that 'Panchayat 2' leaked on Telegram as well. Perhaps, this could be the reason why the show premiered two days ahead of its release.
Nevertheless, fans are super-excited at the series launch. 2 years was a long-wait. Many reviews have already started pouring in with respect to the second season of 'Panchayat'.
Let us tell you, they are all in favour of the second season. People are appreciating how in the times of action-series with abusive language and explicit scenes, 'Panchayat Season 2' is like a whiff of fresh air.
Directed by Deepak Kumar Mishra,'Panchayat' also stars Raghuvir Yadav and Neena Gupta in pivotal roles.
