Comedian Kunal Kamra and production company T-Series are at loggerheads. It seems that Kamra made use of a song from the production banner and has been slammed with a notice regarding its usage. Kunal Kamra also took to his official X( former Twitter) handle to address the same. Kamra called T-Series a 'stooge' and targeted the major production company for 'fair usage' and called out its unfair treatment. Sharing a screenshot of his X account, Kamra claimed that a video of his comedy act has been flagged by YouTube for a copyright violation. 

Kamra wrote on X, "Hello @TSeries , stop being a stooge. Parody & Satire comes under fair use Legally. I haven’t used the lyrics or the original instrumental of the song. If you take this video down every cover song/dance video can be taken down. Creators please take a note of it. Having said that every monopoly in India is nothing short of Mafia so please watch/download this special before it’s taken down. FYI - T- Series I stay in Tamil Nadu."

Meanwhile, a T-Series spokesperson reacted to Kamra’s stance and said, "Mr Kunal Kamra has not taken any authorization or approval for the usage of the underlying musical work in the song hence the content has been blocked for infringement of composition rights.”

Only last week, Kunal Kamra found himself embroiled in a controversy when Eknath Shinde's supporters after a song targeting Shiv Sena president in one of his acts. Sena activists vandalised the Habitat Comedy Club in suburban Khar on Saturday night where his show took place.
