Real Reason Behind Chahal-Dhanashree Divorce Finally Revealed
Yuzvendra Chahal and Dhanashree Verma got married in 2020 in Gurugram and initially lived in Haryana.

Indian cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal and Dhanashree Verma recently finalized their divorce, ending their four-year marriage. While neither has publicly addressed the reasons behind their separation, a latest revelation made a by a senior journalist suggests that a major disagreement over their place of residence played a key role.
Chahal and Dhanashree got married in 2020 in Gurugram and initially lived in Haryana. However, due to work commitments, they frequently traveled to Mumbai. Over time, Dhanashree reportedly wanted to settle in Mumbai permanently, while Chahal was unwilling to leave his parents and his hometown.
Dispute over relocating to Mumbai deepened differences
According to senior entertainment journalist Vickey Lalwani, sources close to the couple revealed that they had contrasting personalities and never truly got along. The dispute over relocating to Mumbai reportedly deepened their differences, leading to their eventual separation.
"After tying the knot, Yuzi and Dhanashree had shifted to stay with Yuzi’s parents in Haryana and came to Mumbai only when they needed to. Yes, this Mumbai-Haryana jhagda was one of the main reasons why this much-in-the-paparazzi-world marriage ended. Yuzi was clear that he wouldn’t uproot himself from his parents’ home and surroundings," Vickey Lalwani wrote on Instagram.

Chahal was clear from the beginning that he would not leave his parents to settle elsewhere. While some may argue that he could have moved his parents to Mumbai, uprooting the entire family due to one partner's preference might not have been a viable solution.
Reports suggest that Chahal and Dhanashree had already been living separately for nearly two and a half years before making their divorce official. While neither has publicly confirmed these details, it appears that their differences gradually led to the end of their marriage.
