Twinkle Khanna Shares THROWBACK PIC Of Rajesh Khanna & Dimple Kapadia On Father's Death Anniversary

New Delhi: Twinkle Khanna remembered her father and veteran actor Rajesh Khanna on his eight death anniversary on Saturday (July 18). The ‘Mela’ actress took to social media to share a rare throwback picture of Rajesh Khanna, her mother Dimple Kapadia and Asrani. She wrote, "“He told my mother that I was the best present she could have ever given him as I entered the world, feet first, on his 31st birthday. He called me Tina Baba, never baby, and though I didn't realise it at that point, my upbringing was different from all the other young girls around me."
Veteran actress Anju Mahendroo shared a picture with the late actor on Twitter. She wrote, "Remember you always Kakaji @Rajesh khanna 8 years!!"
Fans paid tribute to their favourite 'Kakaji' on social media on his death anniversary. One user tweeted, "Our tributes to the 1st superstar of India Sh.#RajeshKhanna on his death anniversary. He has featured in more than 168 films & holds the unbroken record of 15 consecutive solo hit films. He was conferred with numerous prestigious awards for his contributions to the Hindi cinema."

Rajesh Khanna, who passed away in 2012 due to cancer, was considered as the ‘First and Original Superstar’ of Hindi cinema. The ‘Amar Prem’ actor featured in 15 back-to-back solo hits from 1969 to 1971. Khanna was fondly known for his work in movies like 'Kati Patang', 'Anand', 'Haathi Mere Saathi', and 'Aradhana'. The 'Bawarchi' actor made his debut in 1966 with Aakhri Khat which was also India's first official Oscar Entry in 1967.
