Sushant Singh Rajput's Rumoured Girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty Records Her Statement In Actor's Suicide Case

New Delhi: The tragic news of Sushant Singh Rajput’s suicide has left his fans and industry in a state of shock. The ‘Raabta’ actor, considered one of the brightest stars of young generation, ended his life by hanging himself at his apartment on Sunday (June 14). Tinsel town celebs including Priyanka Chopra, Anushka Sharma, Vicky Kaushal, Arjun Kapoor and Shah Rukh Khan mourned his death on social media. Fans have flooded Twitter and Instagram with old videos of the ‘Kai Po Che’ actor. Earlier in the day, we informed you that Mumbai Police recorded Sushant’s ‘Dil Bechara’ director Mukesh Chhabra’s statement in connection with the actor’s suicide case. Actress Rhea Chakraborty has also recorded her statement at Bandra police station on Thursday (June 18) morning. She was spotted wearing a white outfit and mask. Rhea Chakraborty and Sushant were rumoured to be dating each other. Although, they never spoke about their relationship, gossip mills suggested a different story. So far, Mumbai Police officers have recorded the statement of Sushant’s cook, caretaker, managers and Mukesh Chhabra, a report in IANS said. Rhea, who will be next seen in 'Chehre', looked devastated when she arrived at Mumbai's Cooper hospital where Sushant's body was sent for postmortem. She didn't attend the 'Kai Po Che' actor's last rites, which took place at Pawan Hans crematorium, Vile Parle, on June 15. Rajkummar Rao, Kriti Sanon, Vivek Oberoi, Ekta Kapoor, Shraddha Kapoor and other celebs attended the funeral. On the professional front, Sushant was last seen in Netflix's 'Drive' opposite Jacqueline Fernandez. His final film 'Dil Bechara' was slated to hit the silver screens in May 2020. However, it got delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Watch this space for more updates!
