Sushant Singh Rajput's father has registered an FIR against Rhea Chakraborty at a police station in Patna.

New Delhi: Late Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s father KK Singh has lodged an FIR against Rhea Chakraborty at Rajiv Nagar Police station in Patna. Singh accused Rhea of extorting money from the ‘Pavitra Rishta’ actor in the pretext of love and abetting him to commit suicide. SSR’s father registered a five-page FIR against Rhea on Sunday, accusing the actress of instigating the actor to commit suicide. Bihar Police officers have reached Patna to question Rhea in connection with SSR's death case. The case has been filed against the 'Mere Dad Ki Maruti' actress under sections 406, 420, 341, 323, 342 of the IPC. The FIR states the Rhea withdrew his money in the pretext of love. Sushant's father has expressed his inability to go to Mumbai to fight the case due to his health issues. Therefore, the case was filed in Patna. Patna’s SSP said that the case has been filed under special circumstances and hence the FIR has been kept under the classified category and sent to the court. Here's a copy of the FIR!

Rhea Chakraborty had earlier shared a post on social media to request Home Minister Amit Shah to initiate a CBI investigation in Sushant Singh Rajput’s death case. The 'Chehre' actress addressed Sushant as her boyfriend for the first time in her post. "Respected @amitshahofficial sir ,I’m sushant Singh Rajputs girlfriend Rhea chakraborty, it is now over a month since his sudden demise . I have complete faith in the government , however in the interest of justice , I request you with folded hands to initiate a CBI enquiry into this matter . I only want to understand what pressures prompted Sushant to take this step. Yours sincerely, Rhea Chakraborty," the 'Jalebi' actress wrote.

Mumbai Police officers, who are currently investigating Sushant's case, have recorded the statement of at least 38 people including Aditya Chopra, Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Shekhar Kapur, Mahesh Bhatt and Mukesh Chhabra. Rhea Chakraborty was interrogated for over 9 hours in connection with the late actor's death case last month. Dharma Productions CEO Apoorva Mehta recorded his statement on Tuesday (July 28) at Jogeshwari Police station, Mumbai. Meanwhile, Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray has said that the state government will initiate a CBI probe in Sushant Singh Rajput's death case if needed. Chirag Paswan talked to Thackeray over the phone on the matter. Sushant Singh Rajput was found hanging at his Bandra residence on June 14. His untimely demise left the industry and fans in a state of shock. The talented actor's last film 'Dil Bechara' premiered directly on Disney+ Hotstar on July 24. The romantic drama, which also stars Sanjana Sanghi, has received a massive response from the fans.
