CBI Grills Rhea Chakraborty For Over 7 Hours In Sushant Singh Rajput's Death Case

Sushant Singh Rajput's death case: The CBI officials questioned Rhea Chakraborty for over 7 hours in connection with SSR's case on August 29.

New Delhi: The Central Bureau of Investigation grilled Rhea Chakraborty for over seven hours in connection with Sushant Singh Rajput’s death case on Saturday (August 29). Earlier in the day, the ‘Jalebi’ actress reached DRDO guest house for her second round of investigation. The Mumbai Police will provide Rhea protection whenever she commutes from her house to DRDO guest house for the CBI probe. Besides Rhea, her brother Showik Chakraborty was also questioned by the CBI officials separately. The sister-brother duo was spotted leaving the guest house together. According to ABP News' correspondent Ganesh Thakur, the CBI questioned Rhea about money, drugs and Sushant's depression. She was also interrogated face to face with Siddharth Pithani, Samuel Miranda and Neeraj Singh.

While some reports claimed that Rhea confessed that the drug-related chats, which have circulated on social media, featuring her are authentic, the 'Mere Dad Ki Maruti' actress' lawyer Satish Manishinde has said that they would go by the official writing of the concerned agencies. "No time for all this. We go by what CBI, ED, Police or NCB officially says in writing," Manishinde told IANS. The CBI team started its investigation from last week, after the Supreme Court gave its nod for the agency's probe in Sushant's death case. The sensational allegation set several tongues wagging. Last month, KK Singh filed an FIR against Rhea Chakraborty and others under various sections of the IPC at Patna's Rajiv Nagar Police station. He accused the 'Chehre' actress of threatening Sushant and keeping him away from his family. Sushant Singh Rajput was found dead in his Mumbai apartment on June 14. Watch this space for more updates!
