Rohit Shetty Opens Up On His Plans For ‘Golmaal 5’: ‘It’ll Happen’

New Delhi: Filmmaker Rohit Shetty’s popular comedy film series ‘Golmaal’ is one of the most-loved movies in the history of Indian cinema. This film series has four films to its name till date and according to a report of a news portal, Rohit Shetty is planning to make ‘Golmaal 5’.
Director of ‘Golmaal’ series, Rohit Shetty opened up on his plans of making ‘Golmaal 5’ while in a conversation with BollywoodLife. When questioned about ‘Golmaal 5’, Rohit Shetty was quoted saying by the portal, “It'll happen. As I've been saying, two years went over this (lockdowns and Sooryavanshi's release). Golmaal is something that can never end.”
The four films of ‘Golmaal’ featured Ajay Devgn, Arshad Warsi, Tusshar Kapoor, Sanjay Mishra and Mukesh Tiwari, in pivotal roles. Shreyas Talpade appeared in three films of the series whereas Kareena Kapoor Khan and Kunal Kemmu appeared in two films of ‘Golmaal’ franchise.
The four films released in the ‘Golmaal’ franchise are – ‘Golmaal: Fun Unlimited’, ‘Golmaal Returns’, ‘Golmaal 3’ and ‘Golmaal Again’.
Meanwhile, Rohit Shetty’s latest release ‘Sooryavanshi’ starring Akshay Kumar in the lead role revived the movie theatre business in the country. It garnered praises from the audience for its entertainment dose. The movie also starred Katrina Kaif in the female lead and Ajay Devgn and Ranveer Singh in extended cameo roles where they reprised their roles as Singham and Simmba respectively.
Rohit Shetty is currently busy shooting for Ranveer Singh starrer ‘Cirkus’ which will also feature Varun Sharma in a pivotal role. Pooja Hegde and Jacqueline Fernandez will be seen playing female leads in the movie. ‘Cirkus’ will reportedly release in theatres on July 15, 2022.
