The actor addressed the recent underperformance of his films at the box office on Friday, criticising the notion that a few failures can undermine his career. The actor said he remains unfazed by the negative comments and reassures his fans of his commitment to working hard.

Akshay Kumar on his box office failure
"Whatever happens, happens for the good. I don't think too much about the box office failure of my films. Four or five of my films haven't worked, and I receive so many messages saying, 'Sorry, yaar, fikar mat kar' (Don't worry, my friend). I'm not dead! It feels like people are sending me obituary messages, like how people send condolences. One journalist even wrote, 'You'll be back.' I called him up and asked, 'Why are you writing this? What does 'back' mean? Where have I gone,” Kumar said at the trailer launch of his upcoming film, ‘Khel Khel Mein.’
"I'm here and I'll keep working"
The 56-year-old actor is determined to maintain his focus and continue his routine. "I'm here and I'll keep working. I'll always keep working irrespective of what people say. In the morning, I wake up, exercise, leave for work, and return home. Whatever I earn, I earn on my own. I'll never snatch anything from anyone. I'll keep working until they shoot me down to stop me from working,” he was quoted as saying by PTI.
