New Delhi: Singer Shalmali Kholgade tied the knot with sound engineer Farhan Shaikh on November 22 in the presence of only family members. While other celebs opt for grand ceremonies, the couple decided to get hitched in their living room. Their wedding was quite special as the two lovebirds took nuptial vows according to Hindu and Islamic traditions. After getting married in an intimate ceremony, the duo hosted a reception for their loved ones. 

Neeti Mohan shared a video from the fun-filled party to extend her warm wishes to Shalmali. She penned a heartfelt post for the newly married singer, thanking Farhan for making Shalmali ‘feel like a queen’. She wrote, “Can’t keep calm coz you got married @shalmiaow. Best feeling ever to see your friend getting hitched and dance with you like this. Thank you @farhanfshaikh for making my dost feel like a queen. Wishing you both a lifetime of togetherness. Love you. Thanks for capturing this moment @muktimohan.”

Neeti and Shalmali can be seen having a blast while shaking a leg with each other on peppy numbers. Mohan even lifted the ‘Lat Lag Gayee’ hitmaker as she grooved to the beats of ‘Na Jaa’. 

Shalmali and Farhan's wedding reception turned out to be a starry affair as several tinsel town celebs attended the bash. The 'Balam Pichkari' singer dropped a picture from the party on Instagram along with a heartfelt note.

"This is my face 90% times around @farhanfshaikh I love you so much my dearest husband!! I feel like my life’s just begun and it’s going to be solid gold. To all my friends who came last night, and even those who couldn’t make it, I love you all so much. My mother has always said this to me “aayushyaat loka kamvaayche!”, meaning “in life, earn the hearts of people” and I feel like your blessings and your presence told me I’ve earned A LOT. While the bride donned a white outfit, the groom complimented her in a formal suit.

Shreya Ghoshal, Neeti Mohan and other celebs commented on the post. Neeti wrote, "You have my HEART forever lady" while Ghoshal commented, "Heart congratulations@shalmiaow @farhanfshaikh Beautiful couple. May you have a blissful journey ahead together."

Shalmali is fondly known for her hit songs like 'Pareshaan', 'Manva Likes To Fly', 'Baby Ko Bass Pasand Hai'. She has crooned songs in several languages including Marathi, Bengali, Telugu and Tamil.
