Malayalam TV Actor Ravi Vallathol Passes Away At 67

Malayalam actor Ravi Vallathol took his last breathe at his residence in Thiruvananthapuram.

New Delhi: Popular Malayalam TV serial actor Ravi Vallathol, who worked in over 100 shows, left for his heavenly abode on Saturday (April 25) in Thiruvananthapuram. He was 67. Ravi, who passed away at his residence, is survived by his wife. He was reportedly not keeping well since the past few years. Ravi Vallathol, son of popular writer and drama artiste T.N.Gopinathan Nair and Soudamini, started his career in the Malayalam film industry as a lyricist and then as an actor. The veteran actor, known for his power-packed performances, was a favourite among the TV viewers. Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan condoled Ravi's death and said that it was a huge loss to both the TV and film industry. Several fans offered their condolences on social media. Vallathol, nephew of legendary poet Mahakavi Vallathol Narayana Menon, was known for his noted roles in popular Malayalam films like 'Nee Varuvolam', 'Godfather', 'Oru Sayahnathinte Swapnam', 'Sargam' and 'Dada Sahib'. The actor also received the best actor award in the Kerala State Television Awards for his performance in the TV series ‘American Dreams'.
