Malaika Arora-Arbaaz Khan officially divorced after 18 years of marriage
NEW DELHI: Arbaaz Khan and Malaika Arora saw unforeseen bump in their life when they separated from each other. The duo broke their 18 years of marriage and filed a divorce last year in November. Reconciliation efforts yielded no results. Now, a family court in Bandra has finally granted them divorce.
Malaika who got custody of his 14-year-old son Arhaan sought no alimony. Arbaaz can visit his son whenever he want.
Even after separation, the estranged couple were spotted together at various occasions. They didn't let the rift between them hamper the upbringing of their child. Malaika too was part of every celebration of the 'Khan' family. She also accompanied the family to Maldives to mark first birthday of Salman Khan's nephew Ahil.

There were reports doing the rounds about Malaika dating Bollywood actor Arjun Kapoor and this was said to be the reason behind their separation. However, the actress refuted the rumours saying that Arjun is just a good friend and people should not give a different meaning to it.
In an interview to mid day, Arbaaz opened up on their equation post separation, "My association with Malaika spans over two decades. So, I have always been on good terms with her family. We celebrated special occasions earlier too. If things haven't gone well between us, it doesn't mean that the equation with the family changes. They still have a lot of love and affection for me and I have respect for them. Malaika wasn't with us on New Year's, but was there a few days before that. But, that's not the point. We are very amicable."
Malaika, 43 and Arbaaz, 49, tied the knot in 1998. The duo also hosted a reality show titled 'Power Couple'
