'Lipstick Under My Burkha' to release this July

New Delhi: After a long battle, the makers of 'Lipstick Under My Burkha' can now heave a sigh of relief as the film has finally got a release date. The flick releases on July 28 and Ekta Kapoor is now on-board as presenter and pan-India distributor of the film. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to Twitter to share the information as he wrote, "Balaji Motion Pictures present #LipstickUnderMyBurkha. Produced by Prakash Jha and directed by Alankrita Shrivastava. 28 July 2017 release."

Overruling the censor board's refusal, Film Certification Appellate Tribunal (FCAT) had issued 'A' or adults certificate to feminist drama. The cast of the Alankrita Shrivastava-directorial includes Konkona Sen Sharma, Ratna Pathak Shah and Sonal Jha, among others
