New Delhi: Ranveer Singh’s ‘83’ hit the theatres on December 24, 2021, after a long wait. The movie was earlier supposed to release last year but got delayed due to the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic. Helmed by Kabir Khan, ‘83’ tells the story of India’s victory during the 1983 Cricket World Cup with Ranveer Singh playing the role of the protagonist. While Singh portrayed the role of former Indian cricket team captain Kapil Dev, his wife Deepika Padukone illustrated the role of his on-screen wife Romi Dev.

Soon after its release, ‘83’ has been garnering praises from nooks and corner of the country. From fans to celebrities, viewers are showering praises for Ranveer’s performance in this sports biopic. It is now newly wed Katrina Kaif who has showered praises on Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone and the entire team of ‘83’ for their work in the movie.

Katrina Kaif shared a story on her Instagram that read, “Love, love, loved this film - it just transports you to that time, that feeling - what a job by the entire team - Sajid Nadiadwala, Reliance Entertainment, Deepika Padukone, Kabir Khan, you just outdo yourself every time - just so amazed - this is next level.”

The ‘Tiger 3’ actress also praised Ranveer Singh and wrote, “Arghhhhh ! You just are sublime, pitch perfect in every frame. You just keep raising the bar. Outstanding.”

Ranveer Singh thanked Katrina Kaif and wrote, ‘Thank you, dear Kat!’

Katrina Kaif and Ranveer Singh shared the screen space for the very first time in Rohit Shetty’s latest release ‘Sooryavanshi’, where Ranveer reprised his role as ‘Simmba’ and Katrina portrayed the role of the lead female protagonist.
