How Deepika Padukone Is Training For Her Role In SRK's 'Pathan' After Recovering From COVID-19

Mumbai: Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone is a busy bee these days as she is shooting non-stop for her upcoming projects. The ‘Piku’ star is juggling between the shoots of YRF’s ‘Pathan’ and Shakun Batra’s yet-to-be titled film. The leggy lass is reuniting with Shah Rukh Khan for the fourth time after delivering hits like ‘Om Shanti Om’, ‘Chennai Express’ and ‘Happy New Year’. 

Movie buffs are quite excited to see SRK and Deepika once again in ‘Pathan’. If gossip mills are to be believed, Padukone will be seen performing high-octane action sequences in the movie. 

Deepika, who is known for dedicating herself to any project that she takes, is working quite hard to put her best foot forward. 

A source close to Pathan’s unit confirmed that DP has not miss training for the film despite her jam-packed schedule and multiple shoots. Her workout includes a mix of Yoga and functional training for which she has dedicated 1.5 hours for 6 days a week. Yes, you read that right.  

The ‘Padmaavat’ actress is also following a strict diet regime for ‘Pathan’, the source added. 

Deepika had tested positive for COVID-19 in May 2021 along with her family members. She resumed shooting for her projects after recovering from the virus.    

"Getting back on sets after a severe bout of Covid-19, took a lot of emotional and physical strength for Deepika. She is still pushing to get her fitness and health completely back, and is fully committed to it," the source said. 

Deepika Padukone’s Upcoming Films  

The ‘Chhapaak’ actress has a star-studded line-up as she will feature in some of the biggest films. While she will share screen-space with Shah Rukh Khan and John Abraham in ‘Pathan’, she is teaming up with Siddhant Chaturvedi and Ananya Panday for the first time for Shakun Batra’s film. 

DP also has Nag Aswin’s new film with Prabhas, the Hindi remake of ‘The Intern’ and ‘Fighter’ in her kitty. Padukone will be seen with Hrithik Roshan for the very first time on the silver screen in ‘Fighter’, which is slated to release next year.  

On the professional front, Deepika will be next seen in Kabir Khan’s ‘83’. She is playing the role of Ranveer Singh’s on-screen wife in the sports drama, which is based on India’s 1983 Cricket World Cup victory.
