Arjun Kapoor Tests Negative For COVID-19; Requests Fans To Take Virus Seriously, Says 'Excited To Return To Work'

Arjun Kapoor issued a statement on social media to inform his fans that he has tested negative for COVID-19.

Bollywood actor Arjun Kapoor, who tested positive for COVID-19 last month, has fully recovered from the virus. The 'Panipat' actor took to social media to inform his fans that he has tested negative for Coronavirus. He also thanked his fans for their wishes and messages and requested them to take the virus seriously. Arjun expressed his gratitude to the BMC team for their timely help and saluted the frontline workers who are working around the clock to safeguard other people from the virus. He urged everyone to wear a mask to keep COVID-19 at bay. Kapoor further said that people should understand that the virus affects everyone and hence, taking precautions is very important. "Hi! I’m happy to report that I have tested negative to coronavirus over the weekend. I’m feeling better after making a full recovery and excited to return to work. Thank you everyone for your good wishes and positivity. This virus is serious so I request every one to take it seriously. People should understand that coronavirus affects everyone - young and old. So, please WEAR a MASK at all times! Thank you BMC for your support and help and a huge salute to all the frontline workers who are risking everything to take care of us. Several tinsel town celebs including Kriti Sanon, Anushka Sharma, Ananya Panday and Janhvi Kapoor liked the post. Nawwab Shah commented, "glad to know you are healthy and fine brother." Arjun's girlfriend Malaika Arora had also tested positive for COVID-19 last month. She has returned to the sets of 'India's Best Dancer' after recovering from the virus. Arjun tested positive for COVID-19 a few days after he resumed shooting for his upcoming project. He had posted a picture from the sets on his Instagram handle. The actor can be seen surrounded by crew members in PPE kits in the photo.
On the professional front, Arjun Kapoor will be next seen in rom-com opposite Rakul Preet Singh. His film 'Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar' is also lined-up for the release. The flick was slated to hit the silver screens in March 2020; however, the makers decided to postpone the release date due to the COVID-19 crisis. Watch this space for more updates!
