Bollywood fans were in for a surprise when Alia Bhatt dropped a major hint about an upcoming project featuring two of the industry’s biggest stars—Aamir Khan and Ranbir Kapoor. The actress took to social media to share a poster teasing a face-off between the two, sparking widespread speculation.

Alia Bhatt teases Aamir Khan-Ranbir Kapoor project

On Tuesday, Alia posted a video on Instagram, revealing a poster that hints at an intriguing clash between the two superstars. Expressing her enthusiasm, she captioned the post: “A battle of the best! Two of my favourite actors w̶i̶t̶h̶ against each other... Stay tuned for something very very exciting... more deets coming tomorrow... P.S. I know you’re going to love it as much as I did.”

The poster showcasing Aamir and Ranbir, was accompanied by the tagline “The Ultimate Blockbuster.” It also teased “The Greatest Rivalry of the Year” and confirmed that the project is directed by Nitesh Tiwari.

In the video, Alia built anticipation by playfully teasing fans about the nature of the project. “I have been waiting to show this to you guys. Two of my favourite actors will be seen together, ya ek doosre ke against (or against each other). Dikhana hi bhool gayi (I forgot to show it to you)... Yakeen nahi ho raha na, mujhe bhi nahi hua (Don’t believe it na, it was tough for me too). But it is real, and it is great. Stay tuned,” she said.

Netizens react

As soon as she dropped the update, social media was abuzz with reactions, with many eager to see what the two stars have in store.

Fans flooded the comments section, expressing their enthusiasm. One user exclaimed, “Legends collaborating,” while another wrote, “Omg, I just can’t wait!” A third comment read, “Alia’s hype for RK is never-ending,” and another gushed, “Two of the best in Indian cinema! Legends.” Someone else added, “Super excited,” while one fan pointed out, “Ranbir is so lucky—his wife is his biggest cheerleader!”

Ranbir-Aamir collaboration appears to be an advertisement

However, the much-talked-about collaboration appears to be for an advertisement, as Alia subtly included the hashtag #ad in her post. While Ranbir and Aamir have shared screen space before—albeit briefly in the 2014 blockbuster PK—this marks their first substantial project together.
