Akshay Kumar's 'Khel Khel Mein' Gets U/A Certificate By CBFC, Film Receives Positive Response From Members

'Khel Khel Mein' boasts an ensemble cast, including Akshay Kumar, Vaani Kapoor, Fardeen Khan, Taapsee Pannu, Aditya Seal, Ammy Virk, and Pragya Jaiswal.

The upcoming Bollywood film, 'Khel Khel Mein', has been generating immense buzz in the industry, and its recent screening for the Censor Board has only added to the excitement. Directed by Mudassar Aziz, the movie boasts an ensemble cast, including Akshay Kumar, Vaani Kapoor, Fardeen Khan, Taapsee Pannu, Aditya Seal, Ammy Virk, and Pragya Jaiswal.

CBFC's Verdict: A Thoroughly Enjoyable Ride

According to reports, the members of the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) had an absolute blast while watching Khel Khel Mein. The film's ability to entertain and engage the audience has been praised by the CBFC, setting the tone for its nationwide release on August 15, 2024.

Akshay Kumar: The Comedy King

Akshay Kumar, known for his impeccable comedic timing, has delivered some of the most iconic comedy films in Bollywood, including Hera Pheri, Heyy Baby, Welcome, and Housefull. Trade analysts believe that Akshay's involvement in the project given his enviable record with comic films and franchises, will surely work in the film's favour.

A trade analyst also shared, "Akshay has never gone wrong with comedy. He not only has an enviable record with comic films and franchises but also consistently delivers paisa-vasool entertainment. Khel Khel Mein should undoubtedly cement his position at the top.”

The trailer for 'Khel Khel Mein' was released earlier this month, revealing that the film centers around a group of people who embark on a daring game of looking through each other’s phones. While it begins with a humorous tone, things soon take a dark turn.

Akshay Kumar on back-to-back flops

While Akshay Kumar has had an incredible run in the comedy genre, he has also faced setbacks with films like Bachchhan Paandey and Raksha Bandhan. However, the actor remains unfazed, attributing his flops to the subjective nature of cinema.

Talking about the same after the box-office debacle of his recently released film 'Sarfira', Akshay said in an interview, "Behind every film there is a lot of blood, sweat and passion that goes in. It is heart-breaking to see any film fail. But you have to learn to see the silver lining. Every failure teaches you the value of success and increases the hunger for it even further. Luckily, I learnt to deal with it earlier on in my career."

"Of course, it hurts and impacts you, but that won’t change the fate of the film. It’s not something which is in your control… what is in your control is to work harder, make amends and give it your all to your next film. That’s how I channel my energy and try to move on to the next, focusing my energy where it matters the most,” he said.
