Actor Dalip Tahil’s Son Dhruv Arrested In Narcotics Case: Report
Veteran actor Dalip Tahil’s son Dhruv Tahil was nabbed in a narcotics case, a report in IANS said.
The Mumbai Police's Anti-Narcotics Cell on Wednesday arrested veteran Bollywood actor Dalip Tahil's son Dhruv Tahil in connection with a drugs case, a report in IANS said. The Mumbai Crime Branch's ANC unit nabbed the aspiring actor for allegedly buying drugs from a drug peddler Muzammil A. R. Shaikh, who was arrested on April 20 under NDPS Act. The police recovered 35 grams Mephedrone from Shaikh.
The police officials seized Shaikh's phone and discovered WhatsApp chats between him and Dhruv Tahil, who requested for narcotics drugs several times from the drug peddler. The WhatsApp chats revealed that Dhruv demanded contraband and other drugs.
The 30-year-old also deposited money into Muzammil's bank account six time for buying drugs. He transferred money from his Yes Bank account to Shaikh's Bank of India account.
The police officials said that Dhruv remained in touch with the drug peddler since March 2019 till date. He was arrested after his involvement became clear, the report in the news agency said. The ANC Bandra Unit is busy conducting investigations in the drugs case.
Dalip Tahil, who has worked in several hit Hindi films, denied his son's arrest while talking to Times Of India. He didn't talk much about the matter.

Last year, the Narcotics Control Bureau grilled several leading tinsel town celebs as part of its investigation into the alleged Bollywood drugs nexus. The drugs law enforcement agency had arrested Rhea Chakraborty and her brother Showik Chakraborty in a drugs case linked to Sushant Singh Rajput's death case. The Bombay High Court granted bail to Rhea in October 2020 on a personal bond of Rs 1 lakh.
The actress, who will be next seen in 'Chehre', walked out of Mumbai's Byculla Jail after staying behind the bars for close to one month. Her brother receved bail in December 2020.
