Mahesh Babu's Mother Indira Devi Passes Away At 70. Chiranjeevi, Nagarjuna Offer Condolences

Indira Devi was suffering from health issues over the last couple of weeks, reportes suggested.

New Delhi: Mahesh Babu's mother Ghattamaneni Indira Devi passed away at the age of 70 on September 28. Indira Devi was suffering from health issues over the last couple of weeks, reports suggested. She was being treated for the same at a private hospital in Hyderabad. As soon as the unfortunate news broke, members of the Tollywood film fraternity offered condolences to megatsar Mahesh Babu and his family.

Chiranjeevi tweeted,"The news of Mrs. Indira Devi passing away is very sad. I express my deepest condolences to Superstar Krishna, brother Mahesh Babu, and all the family members."

 

Among other celebs who shared condolences, Nagarjuna wrote, "Deepest condolences to #krishna garu @urstrulyMahesh and his family #ripindiradevigaru," while J. NTR tweeted, "Deeply saddened by the passing away of Indira Devi Garu. Deepest condolences to Krishna garu, Mahesh anna, and family in this time of grief."

 

Kajal Aggarwal also posted a message for Mahesh Babu on Twitter that read, "Heartfelt condolences for the sudden demise of Indira Garu  Om Shanti." 

Surender Reddy tweeted, "Deeply saddened by the demise of Indira Devi Garu. My deepest condolences to Krishna garu, @urstrulymahesh garu and the entire family."


Actor Ravi Teja penned on Twitter, "Saddened to learn of the demise of Indira Devi garu...Heartfelt condolences to Krishna garu, @urstrulyMaheshand the family. May her soul rest in peace."

 


Filmmaker Anil Ravipudi shared, "Extremely saddened by the tragic passing of Indira Devi garu. May her soul rest in peace! Deepest condolences to Krishna garu, @urstrulyMahesh sir and the entire family. Stay strong sir. Om Shanti."

'The Kashmir Files' filmmaker Vivek Agnihotri also posted a message for Indira Devi on his official social media handle. Vivek Agnihotri tweeted, "Saddened to hear about the demise of Mahesh Babu Garu’s mother Indiramma garu. Sending my prayers and deepest condolences Krishna Garu, @urstrulyMahesh and the family.  ॐ शांति।"

 

Many others also sent condolences to the family.


For the last rites of Indirat Devi, Tollywood celebs visited Mahesh Babu's house to pay their respects. Among those present included Vijay Deverakonda, Nagarjuna, Rana Daggubati,Trivikram Srinivas, Lakshmi Machi and Nandamuri Balakrishna, reported Pinkvilla.
