New Delhi: 'Euphoria' actor Angus Cloud has passed away at the age of 25. He died on Monday, July 31 at his family's Oakland, California home, according to a statement from his family to the news organisation PEOPLE. Notably, Angus played Fezco in the popular HBO series.

In a statement, Angus' family said, "It is with the heaviest heart that we had to say goodbye to an incredible human today." "Angus was special to all of us in so many ways: as an artist, a friend, a brother, and a son." The family also mentioned that Angus "intensely struggled with this loss" after his father passed away just one week prior.

The message said, "The only comfort we have is knowing Angus is now with his dad, who was his best friend. "Angus was open about his battle with mental health, and we hope that his passing can be a reminder to others that they are not alone and should not fight this on their own in silence," read a statement from the family after his death.

"We hope the world remembers him for his humor, laughter and love for everyone. We ask for privacy at this time as we are still processing this devastating loss,” it added.

HBO mourned the death of the actor and took to Instagram to pay tribute to the 'Euphoria' star by writing, "We are incredibly saddened to learn of the passing of Angus Cloud. He was immensely talented and a beloved part of the HBO and Euphoria family. We extend our deepest condolences to his friends and family during this difficult time."

While the exact reason of Angus' passing has not yet been made public, Oakland Fire Department Chief of Staff Michael Hunt said they attended at a nearby house around 11:30 am for a "medical emergency." When the doctor arrived, "the patient was found to be already deceased."

Angus' mother called 911 and reported a "possible overdose," according to TMZ. The police then arrived at the scene. She claimed there was no pulse in her son. According to a family member, Angus had been experiencing strong suicidal thoughts since his return from Ireland after his father's funeral.
