Is Aaron Taylor-Johnson The Next Bond? A Brand Post Sends Internet Into A Frenzy
Did Omega accidentally leak the next James Bond? Fans speculate Aaron Taylor-Johnson is the new 007 after becoming the luxury watch brand’s global ambassador. Here's why the theory might hold weight

It seems the identity of the new James Bond may have been accidentally leaked—this time, by none other than a luxury watch brand. Social media users are convinced that Omega, the official timepiece partner of the 007 franchise, has unintentionally dropped a major hint.
Before the internet goes into a full-blown frenzy, it’s worth noting: there’s no official confirmation yet—but the speculation isn’t baseless. In fact, it follows a historical pattern.
How it all began?
The buzz began when Omega took to social media to welcome Aaron Taylor-Johnson as their new global brand ambassador. The post featured photos of the Golden Globe-winning actor during his visit to the brand’s headquarters in Bienne, Switzerland. The caption read:
“OMEGA welcomes Aaron Taylor-Johnson to our watchmaking home in Bienne. The actor and Golden Globe winner enjoyed an exclusive tour and met the skilled watchmakers behind our iconic timepieces.”

Netizens reaction
Naturally, this set the internet ablaze. The comments section was flooded with speculation:
“Bro has to be the new James Bond at this point,” wrote one user.
“Do I hear the 007 theme?” added another.
One simply asked: “Is this a hint?”
While it may seem like wild conjecture, fans are backing their theories with past examples. Both Daniel Craig and Pierce Brosnan were appointed Omega brand ambassadors shortly before being publicly announced as the next Bond. Craig joined Omega in 2005 ahead of Casino Royale, and Brosnan came on board in 1994, just before GoldenEye.
Many noted that in those cases, the brand ambassador announcement preceded the Bond casting by months—though critics argue that those events occurred before the age of social media, where speculation spreads faster than ever.
As of now, Amazon MGM Studios—the current custodian of the James Bond franchise—has made no official announcement regarding who will replace Daniel Craig as Agent 007.
