FIR Against Shweta Tiwari For Hurting Religious Sentiments With Controversial Statement On 'God'
Shweta Tiwari Controversy: The popular TV actress faced criticism after a video of her comments at a press conference for the series Show Stopper went viral.
An FIR has been lodged against TV actress Shweta Tiwari for hurting religious sentiments with her controversial 'bra' comment. During the launch event of a web series in Bhopal, Shweta had said that her bra size is being taken by 'bhagwaan'.
Shweta's statement stirred a controversy following which Madhya Pradesh Home Minister Narottam Mishra had directed the police to investigate the statements.

And now an FIR has been filed against the actor.
The case was registered under IPC section 295(A) at the Shyamla Hills police station in Bhopal. Section 295(A) caters to "deliberate and malicious acts, intended to outrage religious feelings of any class by insulting its religion or religious beliefs."
Earlier, while speaking to the media on Thursday, Narottam Mishra said, "I have seen and heard Shweta Tiwari's statement. I condemn it. I have instructed Bhopal Police Commissioner to investigate and submit a report to me soon. Action will be taken after that."

The series also stars Sourabh Raaj Jain, Rohit Roy, Digangana Suryavanshi, and Kanwaljit Singh in the lead roles. The team was attending a press conference on Wednesday for the series where Shweta was asked about Sourabh Raaj Jain's role as Lord Krishna in Mahabharat serial and how he was playing a 'bra fitter' in the new series.
During the press conference, Shweta jokingly replied, "Mere bra ka size bhagwan le rahe hai (God is taking measurements of my bra)" and then laughed out.
Meanwhile Shweta is yet to issue a statement on the controversy, however she posted a dancing video on Instagram on Thursday.
