Deepika Padukone Shares BTS Video From TIME 100 Impact Awards, Reveals “I decided To Switch Careers”

New Delhi: Deepika Padukone, who was recently honoured with the coveted TIME100 Impact Award, posted a beautiful behind-the-scenes video from the award ceremony on her Instagram, capturing all of the joyous and proud moments from her celebration.

The celebrity took to social media to reveal an interesting behind-the-scenes. In the BTS video, Deepika can be heard saying, "I was all of 16 when I decided to switch careers from being a competitive badminton player to becoming an actor. Little did I imagine that 20 years hence, I will be standing here and receiving the TIME 100 Impact Award."

Deepika captured the essence of everything that unfolded during the awards ceremony in the video. From her preparation for the event through her acceptance of the prize, the video shows her having a great time at the event. She posted this video on Instagram with the caption, "A glimpse of what went down at the TIME100 Impact Awards last Monday."

She advised to "follow your bliss" at the end of the video. 

It's interesting to note that Deepika Padukone is the first Indian individual to get two Time Magazine honours. TIME named the superstar one of the world's most influential people in 2018. In addition to Nicole Kidman, Gal Gadot, Greta Gerwig, and Lena Waithe, she was the only Indian actor to make the list.

Recently, Deepika Padukone returned to Mumbai from the filming in Spain for her upcoming movie ‘Pathaan’. The movie will be Siddharth Anand’s directorial debut which will also feature Shah Rukh Khan. Her next movie will be ‘Fighter’, in which she'll star with Bollywood actor Hrithik Roshan.
