'Darlings' Trailer OUT: Alia Bhatt Intrigues And Excites In This Dark Comedy Drama

New Delhi: The much-awaited trailer of Alia Bhatt starrer dark comedy 'Darlings' is finally here. Alia Bhatt and Shefali Shah are all set to woo the audience with their performance as mother-daughter duo. The plot looks intriguing and interesting. Vijay Verma essays the role of Alia's husband, Hamza Shaikh, who is a TC by profession.

The around 3 minutes long trailer begins with Vijay Verma giving his introduction as Hamza Shaikh, husband of Badrunnisa Shaikh, played by Alia Bhatt, who confesses his love for his wife and then says that he is leaving him. A gorgeous Alia Bhatt is then introduced, sunbathing in a red bikini by the pool. The trailer then shows Badrunnisa filing a missing complaint of her husband in the police station. She is accompanied by her mother, played by Shefali Shah.

The intriguing plot of the film shows Alia taking revenge for the exploitation that she suffers at the hands of her husband, who is a drunkard. Alia and Shefali thatch a plan to teach Vijay a lesson and traet him exactly the way he treated Alia and make him suffer.

Sharing the trailer on her Instagram, Alia wrote, "My first film as a producer!!!

Directed by Jasmeet K Reen, the film is produced by Red Chillies Entertainment and Alia's production house Eternal Sunshine Productions. 

For the trailer launch event of the film, mom-to-be Alia wore a bright yellow dress, giving us all the summery feels.
