What Amitabh Bachchan Doesn't Like About Abhishek Bachchan And Aishwarya Rai. Watch Video

In an episode of Koffee with Karan, Amitabh Bachchan sat alongside his daughter, Shweta Bachchan Nanda and humorously discussed what they each found frustrating about their family members.

Amitabh Bachchan, who has been a guest on Karan Johar’s popular talk show 'Koffee with Karan' many times, has often opened up about his family dynamics during his appearances. In one such memorable episode, the legendary actor sat alongside his daughter, Shweta Bachchan Nanda, and humorously discussed what they each found frustrating about their family members. The video of the show has resurfaced on the internet.

What Amitabh Bachchan doesn't like about Abhishek and Aishwarya

When Karan Johar asked Amitabh to share one thing that bothers him about his son, Abhishek Bachchan, the veteran actor jokingly remarked, “That he doesn’t speak enough Hindi.” He was equally candid when it came to his daughter-in-law, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, commenting on her punctuality: “Her timings.” However, when Karan quizzed him about his wife, Jaya Bachchan, Amitabh playfully retorted, “Marwana hai kya?” (Do you want me to get in trouble?). Speaking about Shweta, he praised her writing talents but noted that “she doesn’t write enough.”

Shweta, when asked the same questions, had a heartfelt response for her father. She said, “Stop making it so hard for all of us to, you know... Stop raising the bar all the time, it gets really difficult. It doesn’t matter if I’m not in the profession, you’re raising the bar as a human being as well.” About Abhishek, she quipped that he “should listen to me more.” She didn’t offer any critique of her mother, Jaya Bachchan, and diplomatically refrained from suggesting any changes for Aishwarya Rai, saying she didn’t wish to alter anything about her.

It's funny that no one except Abhishek can say anything about Jaya at KWK.

Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai separation rumours

These light-hearted comments resurfaced recently amidst speculations surrounding the relationship between Abhishek and Aishwarya. Rumours of marital discord began circulating after Abhishek’s social media activity caught fans’ attention. He liked a post discussing “Silver Splitters,” a term used for older couples who divorce later in life, which triggered gossip about a potential rift between him and Aishwarya.

The couple’s absence from each other’s recent public appearances had only fueled further speculation. At Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s wedding in July 2023, Aishwarya was seen arriving separately with Aaradhya, while the rest of the Bachchan family, including Abhishek, made a joint appearance, prompting fans to speculate about a potential family rift.

Aishwarya also attended the IIFA 2024 event with their daughter Aaradhya, while Abhishek was absent.

However, Aishwarya appeared to address these rumours indirectly when she shared an Instagram post on Amitabh Bachchan’s birthday. The post featured a throwback photo of Amitabh and Aaradhya, seemingly indicating that all was well within the Bachchan family.
