Vineet Kumar Recalls Struggling Since Alia Bhatt Sat In Mahesh Bhatt's Lap: 'Main Tab Bhi Struggle Karta Tha, Main Aaj Bhi...'

Actor Vineet Kumar Singh, who made his debut with 'Pitaah' in 2002, recently discussed his struggles and the impact of privilege in the industry, using Alia Bhatt as an example.

Actor Vineet Kumar Singh, who made his debut with 'Pitaah' in 2002, recently shared how his career hasn’t reached the heights he once envisioned. In a recent interview, Vineet candidly discussed his struggles and the impact of privilege in the industry, using Alia Bhatt as an example.

Vineet on privilege

Talking to Bollywood Bubble, Vineet explained that he doesn’t harbour resentment toward those with industry connections, acknowledging the natural inclination of parents to support their children’s endeavors. “A human’s child will be human, an animal’s child will be an animal, and seeds of a rose grow roses, nothing else. Why would you not care for the child you’ve given birth to? They’re just privileged to have a lineage in the film industry, to have people guiding them. It’s my luck that my father is a mathematician and my mother was a housewife,” he said.

Vineet remembers the time when Alia was a kid

Recalling his early days, Vineet spoke about his experience while filming Pooja Bhatt’s 2007 directorial 'Dhokha' when Alia Bhatt was a kif and used to sit on Mahesh Bhatt's lap

“I remember, I was doing Dhokha. We were going to Udaipur to shoot. Alia at that time was so young she would sit in Mahesh Bhatt’s lap. I was struggling then; I am struggling today too. Alia is a fantastic actor, but when you get opportunities on time, your life can change,” Vineet said.

Talking about his struggle, the actor said that despite working for more than 20 years he still doesn’t own a house in Mumbai.

Vineet gets emotional talking about his struggle

Vineet grew emotional while expressing the toll of constant struggle. He said, “Log bolte hai sona tapke nikharta hai, lekin sona hamesha tapta hi rahe to kis kaam ka, kaun pehnega use? Bohot sara waqt tapne mei nikal gaya. Sab kehte hain sangharsh zaruri hai , main kahaan bol rha hu main sangharsh sey bhag raha hun lekin kitna. Main kya mang raha hun, main accha kaam karna chahta hun, acchi filmon ka hissa banna chahta hun, acchey directors, acche producers key saath kaam karna chahta hun aur bohat imandari sey kaam karna chahta hun (People say gold shines brighter when it's heated, but if it’s always under heat, what’s the point? Who will wear it? A lot of time has been spent enduring the heat. Everyone says struggle is necessary—I’m not saying I’m running away from it, but how much is enough? What am I asking for? I just want to do good work, be part of meaningful films, work with talented directors and producers, and do it all with complete honesty)
