Vikramaditya Motwane Criticises Makers Of 'Mrs' For Failing To Credit Technicians And Original Malayalam Film
Director Vikramaditya Motwane has publicly criticised the makers of the upcoming film 'Mrs' for failing to properly credit the behind-the-scenes technicians.

New Delhi: The producers of the forthcoming Sanya Malhotra starrer ‘Mrs.’ have come under fire from acclaimed filmmaker Vikramaditya Motwane, who claims that the technicians who worked on the set were not given any credit. Motwane, whose online series ‘Black Warrant’ is now receiving acclaim, stressed the need to recognise the significant contribution of technicians. Additionally, he was not happy that the film gave no credit to the original Malayalam film that served as an inspiration for 'Mrs.', 'The Great Indian Kitchen'.
Despite being based on the Malayalam film 'The Great Indian Kitchen,' the creators of the film 'Mrs.' neglected to mention this in the ending credits.
This is the peak of corporatization. Look at the end slate of Mrs., they've mentioned everyone's name except people who really make cinema… More than Crew, they have names of PR heads, commercial heads, etc. Has this film been made by AI? @JioCinema @ZEE5India @bawejastudios pic.twitter.com/DBfDE0Oh9F

Vikramaditya Motwane reshared a news piece that brought attention to the makers of ‘Mrs’ and used Instagram to express his dissatisfaction. He wrote, "Oh the irony of the producers making a film about someone who toils in the kitchen whilst having artistic dreams and then not crediting the artists themselves. Or the creator of the original film."
After Motwane's public criticism, ZEE5 altered the trailer and posted it on Instagram, tagging the original film's team as well as themselves.
