iPhone 16e Sale: Apple has expanded its 'Made-in-India' lineup with the launch of the iPhone 16e, a budget-friendly addition to its flagship smartphone series. Designed to offer a premium Apple experience at a more accessible price, the iPhone 16e is also the first affordable model to support Apple Intelligence, set to roll out in India in April alongside the iOS 18.4 update. The update is currently in developer beta testing.

iPhone 16e: Design, Display

With a flat aluminium frame and a frosted glass back, the iPhone 16e maintains Apple's signature aesthetic. The front features a 6.1-inch Super Retina XDR OLED display with a resolution of 2532 x 1170 pixels. Supporting HDR content, the display offers a peak brightness of 1,200 nits and includes an oleophobic coating to minimize fingerprint smudges.

Under the hood, the iPhone 16e is powered by the A18 chip, featuring a 4-core GPU capable of hardware-accelerated ray tracing for enhanced gaming performance. The 16-core Neural Engine (NPU) enables faster machine learning capabilities, making it fully optimized for Apple's AI-driven features.

One of the standout additions is the Action Button, introduced in the iPhone 15 Pro, which allows users to customize shortcuts for various functions. The device is also equipped with Ceramic Shield protection and boasts an IP68 rating, making it resistant to dust and water exposure.

The iPhone 16e integrates several Apple Intelligence features, including Writing Assistance, Image Playground, Genmoji, and Notification Summaries. The Visual Intelligence function allows users to extract text, identify phone numbers and emails, and perform quick searches using Google or ChatGPT.

On the photography front, the iPhone 16e sports a dual-camera setup. The rear camera system consists of a 48MP primary sensor with optical image stabilization, supporting both 24MP and 48MP captures, along with a 12MP 2x telephoto mode. A 12MP front-facing camera offers autofocus and image stabilization for clearer selfies and video calls.

Apple claims the iPhone 16e provides up to 26 hours of video playback and up to 90 hours of audio playback. The device features a USB-C port for fast charging and data transfer. While it supports Qi2 wireless charging, it does not include MagSafe compatibility.

The iPhone 16e is available in three storage configurations: the 128GB variant is priced at Rs 59,900, the 256GB model costs Rs 69,900, and the 512GB version is available for Rs 89,900. It comes in two classic color options: black and white.
