Vicky Kaushal Knows When To Step Aside For Katrina Kaif’s Work, She Praises Him As A ‘Great Listener’

Katrina Kaif recently opened up about how her husband, Vicky Kaushal, has been a constant pillar of support in her professional journey. Speaking at FILA 2025, the actress shared insights into how Vicky encourages her ambitions, especially when it comes to her makeup brand, Kay Beauty. 

What happens when Kay meeting is scheduled at Vicky-Katrina's home?

“Every time there’s a Kay meeting… the big discussions happen at my house… Every time it’s scheduled, my husband asks me ‘What do you have (planned for) today?’ If I say ‘I have a Kay meeting’, he goes, ‘Okay, so basically, you want me out of the house the whole day.’ We (at Kay Beauty) spend a lot of time together as a team,” Katrina shared. 

"Vicky Kaushal is a good listener"

Reflecting on personal growth, she admitted that running Kay Beauty has helped her develop an important skill that Vicky had been hoping for. “The biggest lesson I’ve learned does echo something my husband used to say, especially in the first few months of our marriage, which is: ‘Let me talk’. It’s really important, no matter how passionate you are, to give everyone at the table a place and space to be heard. Learning to be a good listener to all the team members has been important for me. However, he (Vicky) has learnt to let me talk,” she said, adding that he is a “fantastic talker and listener.” 

Vicky and Katrina tied the knot in an intimate ceremony in Rajasthan in 2021. 

On work front

On the work front, Vicky is basking in the success of 'Chhaava', in which he played Sambhaji Maharaj, the second ruler of the Maratha Empire. The film has emerged as the highest-grossing Hindi release of the year, crossing Rs 760 crore worldwide. Meanwhile, Katrina was last seen in 'Merry Christmas' (2024), a mystery thriller directed by Sriram Raghavan, where she starred alongside Tamil actor Vijay Sethupathi.
