Uorfi Javed Gets Death Threat For Recreating Rajpal Yadav’s 'Chote Pandit' From Bhool Bhulaiyaa

Uorfi Javed revealed on Tuesday that she is receiving death threats for dressing like Rajpal Yadav in the movie 'Bhool Bhulaiyaa'.

New Delhi: Regardless of what Uorfi Javed wears, she always draws attention. For the social media star, though, receiving backlash and being mocked for her wardrobe choices is just as typical. The Bigg Boss OTT contestant revealed on Tuesday that she is receiving death threats for dressing like Rajpal Yadav in the movie 'Bhool Bhulaiyaa'.

Uorfi  took to her X (formerly Twitter) account to share the screenshots of the emails she has got after posting her Halloween look. The threats claimed that the actor had offended religious feelings.

“I’m just shocked and appalled by this country mahn , I’m getting death threats in recreating a character from a movie where as that character didn’t get any backlash,” she wrote.

For those who are unaware, Uorfi's Halloween recreation of Rajpal Yadav's 'Chote Pandit' look from 'Bhool Bhulaiyaa' was a huge hit with fans. To pull off the look, she wore a sheer red top with a dhoti and red makeup on her face. There was a marigold garland around her neck as well.

Uorfi Javed gets into trouble for her bold fashion choices. She previously faced threats; in December 2022, a guy in Mumbai was also taken into custody for reportedly sending the television actor death threats and threats of rape.

After her stint on 'Bigg Boss OTT', Uorfi Javed became popular. She had appeared in a few television shows before that. She earned fame for her performance in 'Bade Bhaiyya Ki Dulhania' as Avni. Later she starred in the ALT Balaji streaming series, 'Meri Durga', 'Bepannaah', and 'Puncch Beat Season 2'. Uorfi Javed was last seen on the reality series 'Splitsvilla X4' as a mischief-maker.
