Uorfi Javed Admits She Starved Herself: 'I Stopped Eating, I Would Eat 3–4 Chicken Pieces A Day'

Internet sensation Uorfi Javed has candidly opened up about a deeply personal battle with body image issues, revealing that there was a phase in her life when she resorted to extreme measures in an attempt to appear thin.

Uorfi Javed on body dysmorphia

In a conversation with Anshula Kapoor on her YouTube show 'Bunkk with Uorfi', the fashion influencer shared, “I developed body dysmorphia 3–4 years ago. I was starving. I stopped eating. I just wanted to be this really skinny person, like extremely skinny, so I just stopped eating. I would eat 3–4 chicken pieces a day and not even work out. I would just run."

Recalling that turbulent period, Uorfi admitted her physical and mental health took a major hit. “Mentally, I was f****d. I was always cranky, I was always annoyed. If anyone spoke to me, I would be like, ‘Why are you talking to me?’” she confessed.

Fortunately, things have taken a turn for the better. Uorfi shared that she has now embraced a more balanced lifestyle. “Recently, I have started going to the gym. I’ve started lifting weights. I’ve started eating well. Now I don’t care about being skinny,” she said.

Viral moment after lip filler dissolving procedure

Uorfi recently made headlines when she posted a picture of herself with a visibly swollen face after undergoing a lip filler dissolving treatment. The procedure was meant to correct asymmetry caused by the earlier fillers. The image sparked a wave of memes and trolling across social media, but Uorfi took it in stride.

Responding with humour, she shared an updated post on Instagram, writing, "All the trolling and the memes, honestly I had a good laugh! Here you go this is my face without the fillers or swelling now, not used to seeing my face or lips like that. I’ve used a lip plumper here tho."

Uorfi's recent project

Known for her fearless fashion and bold public persona, Uorfi most recently appeared on Prime Video’s reality show 'The Traitors India'. The first season, hosted by Karan Johar, saw her emerge as the joint winner alongside professional poker player Nikita Luther.

The show featured an ensemble cast of well-known faces including Karan Kundrra, Raftaar, Jasmin Bhasin, Raj Kundra, Anshula Kapoor, Maheep Kapoor, Sudhanshu Pandey, Ashish Vidyarthi, and Jannat Zubair. Following its successful debut, the makers have confirmed a second season is in the works.
