Tanmay Bhat net worth: YouTuber and comedian Tanmay Bhat was in the spotlight after there was a report that he is among the wealthiest content creators in India with a net worth of Rs 665 crore. However, Bhat swiftly cleared the air regarding the same and called the numbers “wildly off.”

"In today’s episode of ‘What’s the point of even getting up in the morning?’ ... apparently, according to The Financial Express, folks like Tanmay Bhat are worth 665 crores," wrote X user Suchin Mehrotra. 

According to the screenshot, Bhat outranks prominent figures in the Indian content creation landscape with Rs 665 crore followed by Technical Guruji at Rs 356 crore, Bhuvan Bam at Rs 122 crore, Ranveer Allahbadia at Rs 58 crore, and CarryMinati at Rs 50 crores. 

Bhat's response
Responding to the post, Bhat expressed doubt regarding the accuracy of the reported figure, stating, "I can assure you that this number is wildly off - at least for me."  

He also wrote that no one can earn Rs 665 crore by posting memes on social media. This tweet was later deleted by him.

As expected, netizens were quick to comment on the report, with many expressing skepticism and questioning the methodology behind such estimations. 

A user wrote, “number looks wayyyy off. have they included a methodology? networth can have really loose definitions.” 

Another user commented, “According to the same FE, Ajay Devgan’s net worth is ~500 cr. And Tanmay Bhat is supposed to be more than that? These numbers deserve the trash bin.” 

“I can bet that CarryMinati worth is at least 100Cr+ even on very conservative side,” read another tweet. 

“Kohli's net worth is around 1000 cr. These people can't be having more than 10-20 cr in networth unless inherited,” wrote a user. 

Another user wrote, “I don't want to know who came up with this, but they are way off the charts in predicting value and category.”
