Sunita Ahuja Says She Never Came Between Krushna Abhishek And Govinda: 'I Still Love Him A Lot'

Sunita Ahuja — Govinda’s wife — has now spoken about her personal equation with Krushna Abhishek.

Months after Govinda and Krushna Abhishek reconciled, ending a widely publicised fallout that lasted over seven years, Sunita Ahuja — Govinda’s wife — has now spoken about her personal equation with her nephew-in-law. In a recent interview with Times Now, Sunita offered an insight into the family dynamics, clarifying that despite previous tensions, she still holds affection for Krushna.

Sunita Ahuja says she still loves Krushna Abhishek

“I have been very protective and possessive of Govinda. Everything has its time. I still love Krushna Abhishek a lot. I have raised him. Even if he says good or bad things about me, I never stopped Govinda from meeting Krushna. Who am I to stop him? Krushna’s mother raised Govinda, and I did the same for Krushna and Arti,” she said, reflecting on their shared history.

Sunita on her equation with Arti Singh

She also spoke warmly about Krushna’s sister, Arti Singh, noting that while she skipped Arti’s wedding, their communication continues.

“I still talk to Arti. I didn't attend her wedding. However, she came to our house to tie rakhi to my son, Yash. I speak to Arti—I have no issues with anyone. When a woman grows older, she becomes busy with her own life. She doesn’t have time for fights and other issues. I’m now busy with my children,” she added.

Govinda and Krushna fall-out

The friction between Govinda and Krushna initially began when the veteran actor took offence to jokes made at his expense on a comedy show. Things escalated publicly, with both sides exchanging bitter accusations—Krushna once alleged that Govinda didn’t visit his children during a medical emergency, while Govinda dismissed those claims, calling his nephew a liar. Sunita too had distanced herself from Krushna, and the tension played out across multiple media interactions over the years.

The family, however, appeared to turn a new page last year when Govinda was hospitalised after a minor injury. Krushna and Kashmera visited him both at the hospital and later at home, signalling a thaw in relations. In a conversation with ETimes, Krushna had reflected on the emotional reunion with his uncle:

“We laughed, joked, and reminisced about old times. It felt just like before. All those years I spent living with mama and mami (Sunita) in their home flashed before my eyes. Maine mama ko bola ki hall toh poora badal gaya hai. Ab sab issues resolve ho gaye hai, sab gile shikve door ho gaye hain. I’m glad there was no mention of the past—that’s how families are. There can be misunderstandings, but nothing can keep us apart for long. I couldn’t meet mami as she was busy, but honestly, I was a bit scared to face her because I knew she would scold me.”
