Shahid Kapoor Says Jab We Met's Aditya Would Not Put Up With Geet Now: 'She Is Her Own Favourite'

Shahid Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor became iconic and saw a rise in their fandom after Imtiaz Ali's 'Jab We Met' released in theatres. The 2007 film became iconic and fans across the country have made it a cult film over the tears. At a recent event, when Shahid Kapoor was asked about the whereabouts of the much-loved screen couple in today's scenario, he had a hilarious remark to make.

Earlier, in 2024 when the film's director Imtiaz Ali was asked where he sees Geet and Aditya today, to which Imtiaz had answered, "At a divorce lawyer's office."

When Shahid was shown Imtiaz’s answer at SCREEN Live event, he responded, “That’s actually a fun idea that Geet and Aditya are now breaking up because they are frustrated with each other. Aditya is like, ‘She is her own favourite, who can ever put up with her?'

When it was pointed out that many fans will feel disheartened, Shahid replied, "If our filmmaker thinks these two will divorce each other, then who am I to come in between? I am just an actor.”

'Jab We Met' received a lot of attention when it was released on October 26,2007. The film was made on a budget of Rs. 15 cr and collected more than Rs. 50 cr at the box office.
