New Delhi: Popular Pakistani actor Mahira Khan married businessman Salim Karim after dating him for many years. Mahira was previously married to Ali Askari. They are parents to Azlan, who was born in 2009. This is Mahira Khan's second marriage. Several videos and pictures of Mahira's wedding with Salim stormed the internet and her fans couldn't keep calm.

Who is Salim Karim?

Salim Karim is a business tycoon and a professional DJ. He is currently the CEO of a startup called Simpaisa, which lets people make payments through their SIM cards directly, a report by Samaa said. The same report added that Salim Karim's company facilitates merchants from different sectors in over 15 countries.

Mahira Khan got engaged to Salim Karim in 2019 in Turkey in a private ceremony which was attended by close friends and family.

As per Dispatch News Desk, a Pakistan-based news agency, Salim Karim is also a DJ.

As per several reports, Mahira and Salim met in 2017 at the launch of a television app called Tapmad TV.

In 2020, Mahira was a guest on Samina Peerzada's web show, 'Reminds with Samina Peerzada' and revealed that she is in a committed relationship. When asked if the veteran actor Mahira was in love, the Raees star said, “Yeah, I think I am in love,” Mahira had said. When Samina went on to congratulate her, the actor added, “I don’t know, I am so shy about it.” 

When Samina then asked if she would know the person Mahira had fallen for, to which Mahir responded with, "You might, but he’s not from the industry.”
