Malaika Arora's Father Death: Varun Dhawan Slams Paparazzi, Calls Them 'Insensitive'

In a tragic turn of events, Anil Mehta, the father of actresses Malaika Arora and Amrita Arora, reportedly died by suicide on Wednesday afternoon. Soon after the incident, Malaika’s family and friends started arriving at her father’s residence. Malaika, who was in Pune, also hurried back to Mumbai and was clicked by the paparazzi as she reached her father’s home. Amidst this actor Varun Dhawan has criticised the paparazzi for their insensitivity during this difficult time.
Varun Dhawan calls out paparzzi
Taking to his Instagram stories, Varun expressed his anger over the media's behavior, writing, “It is the most insensitive thing to point cameras in the face of the people who are grieving. Please think what you people are doing or what someone is going through when you do this. I understand it is work but sometimes another human might not be okay with this #humanity.” He urged people to be more considerate of the emotions involved, especially during moments of immense personal loss.
Mumbai police on Anil Mehta's death
Meanwhile, Mumbai police have said that prima facie the incident looks like suicide and the investigations are on.
"Anil Mehta used to live on the sixth floor. We are carrying out a detailed investigation from all angles... our forensic teams are here for investigation. His body is being sent for postmortem. We are investigating everything... prima facie it looks like suicide, we are conducting further investigation,” a police officer told media.

What Malaika Arora's mother told the police
According to News 18, Malaika’s mother, Joyce Polycarp, informed police that Anil had a morning routine of sitting on the balcony and reading the newspaper. Joyce recounted how she went looking for him after noticing his slippers in the living room. When she couldn't find him in the balcony, she looked over and saw the building's watchman calling for help. She also clarified to the authorities that Anil was not suffering from any major illness, apart from some knee pain.
Among the celebs who reached Anil's Bandra residence were Arbaaz Khan, Sohail Khan, Arjun Kapoor, Salim Khan, Alvira Agnihotri and others.
