Kiara Advani Shares How Sidharth Malhotra Helped Her When She Was Being Trolled
Sidharth Malhotra gives Kiara some words of wisdom and helped her move on from trolls.
New Delhi: Kiara Advani and Sidharth Malhotra are the definitions of couple goals. They had a secretive romance until they decided to tie the knot. Just recently, Kiara Advani discussed the challenges she's had post her marriage, and how Sidharth Malhotra has been there to support her through them. Sidharth Malhotra came to Kiara Advani's defence when she admitted being impacted by the criticism levelled in ‘Satyaprem Ki Katha’ before its release. Kiara was trolled online for her role opposite Kartik Aaryan.
Kiara Advani said that she was shaken by the trolling she had experienced. In an interview with Film Companion, Kiara said, "For the first time, I felt a sense of overbearing, overpowering me with social media during the time when Satyaprem Ki Katha was coming out. Because I was just married I felt like there was very weird negativity going on about certain scenes ‘Isne yeh kyun kiya hai, woh kyun kiya hai (Why she did this, why she did that).' Maybe it was to do with 'Oh now she is married' all of that."
Kiara said how Sidharth Malhotra had counselled her not to let the trolls' comments get to her and that she should ignore them. The actress said, "He was the one who explained it to me. He said ‘Look there will always be these negative trollers but if you’re gonna give so much importance to this, be sitting at home and crying and behaving like s**t has hit the roof right now. What's wrong with you? You don't know them. They don't know you. These could be like certain fans who did not like we got married. Just let it be. Why are you getting into it?' I realised if he is so mature about it, why am I sitting and feeling all of these things? Thank God I have somebody who's got wisdom, maturity, and experience in this matter to tell me don't give attention to this stuff."
On February 7, Kiara and Sidharth Malhotra tied the knot. Only close family and friends were invited to their intimate wedding at Jaisalmer's majestic Suryagarh Palace. They met on the set of ‘Shershaah’, fell in love, and dated for a period before tying the knot.
