Netizens react to Kapil Sharma's weight loss

Fans were quick to comment on his transformation, with one writing, “Kitna zyada weight loss kar liya hai Kapil Sharma ne.” Others, however, expressed concern over his health, with some comments suggesting he looked "unwell." 

Online chatter soon took a familiar turn, linking Kapil’s weight loss to the much-discussed drug Ozempic—a medication originally meant for diabetes management that’s been making headlines for its weight-reducing side effects. The buzz around Ozempic intensified after several celebrities were rumoured to have used it to shed pounds quickly. 

Some social media users even went as far as drawing comparisons with filmmaker Karan Johar, whose recent transformation sparked a similar conversation. “A new trend is going on in Bollywood, everyone is becoming so thin, first Karan Johar and now him,” wrote a user.  

This isn’t the first time Kapil’s body transformation has been a talking point. He’s had a history of fluctuating weight and once underwent a major transformation a few years back before gaining it back.  

When similar speculation surrounded Karan Johar, the filmmaker addressed the rumours head-on in a conversation with India Today Digital. He said, “Being healthy, eating right, exercising, doing your best to look good—that’s what it’s about.”  

Television star Ram Kapoor, who also stunned fans with his massive weight loss, had also denied taking Ozempic. 

On the work front

On the work front, Kapil Sharma has an exciting project lined up. He recently confirmed the sequel to his 2015 debut film ‘Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon’. Titled ‘Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2’, the sequel will be helmed by Anukalp Goswami—the writer of the original film and also the man behind the scripts of The Kapil Sharma Show. Kapil is set to reprise his role from the first film, and fans are eagerly waiting to see him back on the big screen.
