Kangana Ranaut Says Military Training Should Be Made Compulsory To Get Rid Of 'Lazy' People
Kangana shared that by doing so, the country will be ridden of its 'lazy' and 'irresponsible' people.
New Delhi: Kangana Ranaut is known for making bold statements on public platforms about Bollywood and the general politics involving the country. Recently, the actor said military training should be made compulsory for everyone post their graduation. The actor shared that by doing so, the country will be ridden of its 'lazy' and 'irresponsible' people.
Kangana spoke about the same at News18 Amrit Ratna 2023, where she said that the best way to make a country's citizenship disciplined was by giving them military training. We will get rid of these lazy and irresponsible people if military training is made compulsory in the country for every child after graduation. It will inculcate discipline in them."
In the same conversation, Kangana also questioned Bollywood stars and cricketers befriending their contemporaries in 'enemy' countries. The actor said that she has often heard soldiers question the behavior of Bollywood celebs and cricketers.
"Our soldiers ask when Bollywood is showcasing its love for artistes of China and Pakistan, cricketers are hugging them, then am I the only one who thinks of them as enemies? Is the animosity between the two countries only for me? This is why we have made Tejas. It showcases how a soldier feels when people of the country talk behind his back while he is fighting at the border,” Kangana shared and added that at the 'micro-level, when our soldiers are troubled on the border', it is best to 'boycott' foreign goods immediately.
Kangana Ranaut will next be seen in the military drama 'Tejas'. The film's trailer was released on the occasion of Indian Air Force Day, October 8. In the film, Kangana will portray the role of Air Force pilot Tejas Gill.
Written and directed by Sarvesh Mewara, 'Tejas' is scheduled to be released in theaters on October 27, 2023.
