Shah Rukh Khan and Aishwarya Rai, who created magic on-screen, sparked a lot of attention due to their off-screen bond. However, in the early 2000s, their relationship faced turbulence for reasons that have remained shrouded in mystery, despite much speculation. Aishwarya revealed in interviews that she was dropped from several projects with Shah Rukh.

Shah Rukh Khan and Aishwarya Rai's fallout

During the height of their fallout, tensions between Shah Rukh Khan and Aishwarya Rai escalated before gradually cooling down. At the time, Aishwarya’s mother-in-law, Jaya Bachchan, who shared a close bond with Shah Rukh, publicly expressed her displeasure over some of his remarks about Aishwarya. 

However, over time, the situation settled, and Shah Rukh and Aishwarya reconciled, putting the past behind them. 

In a 2008 interview with People magazine, when Jaya Bachchan was asked if she still harbored any resentment towards Shah Rukh Khan, the legendary actress firmly replied, “Of course, I do.”

“I haven’t had the opportunity to discuss it with him and I am going to speak to him about it. If he was at my home, I would have slapped him, just as I would my own son. But I have connected with him in my soul, and that’s it,” adding, “I have a weakness for Shah Rukh,” she said.

The Ambani Wedding

Recently, at Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s wedding, Shah Rukh Khan was seen bending down to touch Amitabh Bachchan’s feet, seeking his blessings. In a touching gesture of respect, he also touched Jaya Bachchan’s feet and shared an emotional hug with her, marking a heartfelt moment before they parted ways.

On the professional front, Shah Rukh Khan was last seen in Rajkumar Hirani's ‘Dunki’, which also starred Taapsee Pannu, Boman Irani, and Vicky Kaushal in pivotal roles.

SRK is reportedly set to appear next in Sujoy Ghosh's ‘King’, where, interestingly, his daughter, Suhana Khan, is also expected to join the cast.
