New Delhi: After a request to the show's writers about the matter, actor Matthew Perry got a Friends episode canceled, according to a TMZ report. On the popular television series 'Friends', Matthew Perry played Chandler Bing, who nearly caused a scandal by cheating on Monica. The good news is that the late actor managed to have his affair scene canceled.

Why Chandler Bing cheated on Monica?

Lisa Cash, who starred in 'The One in Vegas: Part 1', a 1999 episode from season 5, was reported to have been cast as an extra, but her part in the episode was initially far more controversial.

According to her statement to TMZ.com, the sequence included Courteney Cox's character, Monica, and Chandler in a heated argument that ended with Cash's character ordering room service for his Las Vegas hotel.

After his heated argument with Monica, Chandler and Cash's character seemed to click, even going so far as to have an affair with the hotel employee. Cash says that after rehearsing the sequence, he contacted the writers and asked them to cut it. In the end, Cash believes it was a wise decision and had a chance to alter the course of the show, even though she was mindful that co-starring with Matthew Perry would have transformed her career. Cash stayed in the episode as a flight attendant in Ross and Rachel's moment even though the entire premise was scrapped.
