Govinda Opens Up About Leg Injury After Accidentally Shooting Himself, Shares Message For Fans

Actor Govinda accidentally shot himself in the leg with his own gun at around 4:45 AM while leaving for an appointment. He was quickly taken to the hospital and is now recovering. After the news of the injury surfaced, the actor spoke out to clarify what happened.

Govinda reacts to accidental misfire incident

Govinda shared a message from the hospital for his fans and well-wishers, expressing his gratitude. In the voice note, his speech is slightly slurred, likely due to anesthesia or medication. The seasoned actor confirmed that doctors successfully removed the bullet from his leg after his revolver accidentally gun at his residence in Mumbai.

After the incident, Govinda's manager, Shashi Sinha, shared that the actor was getting ready to leave for Kolkata. While keeping his licensed revolver, it accidentally fell and fired, which hit his leg. Shashi also mentioned that the bullet has been removed by doctors and that Govinda is currently in stable condition in the hospital.

Govinda is currently in CritiCare Hospital in Mumbai. The police are investigating the incident and have taken his weapon for examination.

Govinda's daughter shares health update

Earlier, Govinda’s daughter, Tina Ahuja, also spoke to ABP and confirmed that the operation was successful. "I am with Papa in the ICU right now. I can't talk much right now. But let me tell you that Papa's health is much better than before. Papa was operated upon after he was shot and the operation was successful. The doctors have done all the tests, the reports are also positive. Papa will remain in the ICU for at least 24 hours. After 24 hours, the doctors will decide whether to keep him in the ICU or not. The doctors are continuously monitoring Papa, there is nothing to worry about," she said.
