New Delhi: Ankita Lokhande and Mannara Chopra had one of the fiercest rivalries on Bigg Boss 17. Throughout the season, there was a noticeable tension between the two, and the rivalry grew even more as Mannara and Ankita's husband Vicky Jain's bond grew stronger, which irritated the Pavitra Rishta actor.
However, Mannara wished to reconcile and mend things with Ankita after the show. Following the show's conclusion, Mannara expressed her respect for Ankita and hoped that they may become friends in an exclusive interview with The Indian Express. In a recent conversation with the publication, Ankita hinted that she might have taken the rivalry a bit too far.
Talking to Indian Express about keeping in touch with Mannara, Ankita said, "I am here. Anyone who wants to be my friend is more than welcome. I am not going to approach anyone for that matter. I am done.”
Ankita explained the issue between them and shared, "After coming out, I was watching the episodes, and I saw that I would connect with Mannara a lot in the beginning, but slowly her track changed, and she started to feel a few things. I was okay with that. But in the last few episodes, a lot was going on between me and Vicky, and their friendship was triggering me. Mannara and I did have issues, but after her friends left, when she came to Vicky, I felt why him now. Then things escalated and played in my head. But when I saw the episodes I felt there was nothing like that. I regret it somewhere now.”
Mannara, on the other hand, has also said clearly what her position is and that she is hesitant to stay in contact with Vicky. She stated in a recent interview with Siddharth Kannan, "I won't message him because Vicky is aware of my hesitation. I was shocked the first time Ankita reprimanded me for causing friction between them. Vicky then attempted to cheer me up, but I was too embarrassed to talk to him. It doesn't look good for me to contact him because he knows that's how things would be in real life. I will be pleased if they would like to stay in contact."
Both Ankita Lokhande and Mannara Chopra made it to the top 5 list of finalists but got evicted at the fourth and third position respectively with the Bigg Boss 17 trophy being bagged by Munawar Faruqui and Abhishek Kumar ending up as runner-up.
