New Delhi: Punjabi actor and singer and 'Bigg Boss 1'3 contestant Himanshi Khurana on Wednesday announced her breakup with Asim Riaz on social media. In her statement, she shared that the couple have parted ways, after almost four years of dating, due to religious differences. Himanshi was brutally trolled by netizens for mentioning religion differences. The singer on Friday clarified on X that she used the ‘religious differences’ as a reason after his chat with Asim. She also shared a screenshot of their chat.
She shared a screenshot of their conversation and also wrote, "This is my last & final statement to clarify that I’m a secular person so I am not disrespecting any religion… I just chose mine, if I don’t want anyone of you to blame him for the breakup then I also want no one of you to blabber against me…. From my past relationship, I was quiet for the reason I took the whole blame here. I tried the same but I'm sorry people took it the other way."

Himanshi then deleted her X account because of the incessant trolling she faced.
Soon after, Asim Riaz took to X and shared his statement on the breakup and admitted that he told Himanshi to give the real reason behind the breakup. He wrote, “Yes Indeed we both agreed to sacrifice our love for our respective religious beliefs. We both are 30+ and we have full right to take these mature decisions and we made it. We’ve decided to part ways amicably, embracing our individual journeys. Respect for Himanshi and our diverse path and yes indeed i told her to write the real reason for our separation. Request you to all to respect our privacy.”

On Wednesday, Himanshi made an announcement about her breakup with Asim and wrote, "Yes, me and Asim are not together anymore. All the time we have spent together has been great but our togetherness comes to an end Now. The journey of our relationship was great and we are moving forward in our lives. With due respect to our respective religions, we are sacrificing our love for our different religious beliefs. We have nothing against each other. We request you to respect our privacy."
Asim and Himanshi met on Bigg Boss 13 and confessed their feelings for each other on the show and started dating after the show.
