Niyati is the daughter of prominent real estate mogul Raseh Babubhai Kanakia, the founder of Kanakia Builders. According to sources, the wedding will be a star-studded event, with close friends and family from both the film industry and corporate circles coming together to celebrate the couple's union.
Konark recently gave his followers a sneak peek into the wedding preparations through a video posted on Instagram. In the video, he and his fiancée, Niyati, can be seen in traditional attire, with later posts showing them practicing a dance routine together. Though Niyati experienced a small mishap during rehearsals, Konark humorously shared in his post that while Niyati was hoping for an adventure, the wedding was just around the corner, marking a significant new chapter in their lives.
Ashutosh Gowariker, the renowned filmmaker behind iconic films such as Lagaan, Swades, and Jodhaa Akbar, is celebrated for his visionary storytelling. An insider noted that Konark is now ready to carry forward his father's legacy in the film industry.
For those unfamiliar, Konark Gowariker holds a Bachelor of Arts in Film Direction and Cinematography from Emerson College in Boston, which he completed in 2012.
He began his career in filmmaking at Dhirubhai Ambani International School in Mumbai before taking his first steps into the film world in 2013, joining Ashutosh Gowariker Productions as an assistant director. Konark worked on several significant films alongside his father, including Everest and Mohenjo Daro. Additionally, he co-produced Toolsidas Junior, a film under AGPPL, which won the Best Picture (Hindi) award at the 64th Indian National Film Awards.
