Arjun Kapoor Stands By Grieving Malaika Arora At Her Father’s Last Rites, Video Goes Viral

Actor Arjun Kapoor, Malaika Arora's ex-boyfriend, was seen arriving for the last rites of Anil Mehta on Thursday.

Several celebrities, including Malaika Arora's ex-boyfriend, Arjun Kapoor, were seen arriving for the last rites of Anil Mehta on Thursday. Malaika's father reportedly died by suicide on Wednesday at his residence. 

Arjun Kapoor Comforts Grieving Malaika Arora

Arjun was seen comforting his former girlfriend after the last rites of her father. In the video posted on paparazzi pages, he was also seen talking to Malaika. She was also accompanied by her son, Arhaan.

Malaika Arora's father's death

Malaika Arora also issued an official statement on Wednesday. “We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of our dear father, Anil Mehta. He was a gentle soul, a devoted grandfather, a loving husband, and our best friend. Our family is in deep shock by this loss, and we kindly request privacy from the media and well-wishers during this difficult time. We appreciate your understanding, support, and respect,” the statement read.

DCP Crime Branch, Raj Tilak Roshan, spoke to the media on Wednesday outside Malaika's parents' home in Bandra. "Body of one Anil Mehta (62) was found. He resided on the 6th floor. We are carrying out further investigation and our team is here. We are investigating all angles in detail. Our teams are here, forensic teams are here as well. Body is being taken for postmortem. We are investigating everything in detail. Prima facie, it seems to be suicide, we are conducting further investigation," he said.

Malaika Arora's former husband, Arbaaz Khan, was seen arriving at the venue with his wife Sshura Khan. Malaika’s friends  Kareena Kapoor, Saif Ali Khan reached the venue with Karisma Kapoor. Arjun Kapoor was seen on Wednesday night as well, supporting Malaika in her time of loss. Her son, Arhaan Khan, joined her after he walked her to the car. Amrita Arora, her sister, was also there with her family.
